Qalqilia, Friday, August 4, 2023 (WAFA) –Two Palestinians were shot and injured by rubber-coated metal bullets, and dozens of others suffocated today as Israeli forces attacked the weekly anti-settlement protest in the village of Kafr Qaddum, in the northern West Bank province of Qalqilia.

Local sources told WAFA that Israeli occupation soldiers attacked the protesters with rubber-coated rounds, stun grenades and teargas, injuring two of them and causing dozens of others to suffocate from gas inhalation.

For years, villagers from Kafr Qaddum and neighboring villages have been protesting every Friday and Saturday against illegal Israeli settlements, and calling for reopening the village’s main road, which has been sealed off by the occupation authorities since 2002.
