JERUSALEM, Wednesday, July 12, 2023 (WAFA) - The third Jerusalem Arab Film Festival kicked off yesterday at the Palestinian National Theater, al-Hakawati, in East Jerusalem with the screening of the Egyptian feature film "19B".

The festival, which will continue until July 16, will present 32 Arab and Palestinian films, ranging from fiction, documentaries and short films, most of them competing for the festival’s prizes which will be announced in the closing show. The films will be shown at al-Hakawati Theater and Yabous Cultural Center in Jerusalem.

In addition to the film screenings, the festival presents two workshops on script writing for the short film and on film production from the archives, as well as a seminar on telling the story of the documentary film and meetings with some directors of the films presented.
