RAMALLAH, Sunday, March 28, 2021 (WAFA) – Two Palestinian political prisoner in Israeli detention complete today 21 and 25 years in a row behind Israeli prison bars, said the Palestinian Prisoner Society.
Wa'el Yaqeen Natsha, who comes from the city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, was arrested on this day in 2000, and was sentenced to a life in prison for his activism in the armed resistance against the Israeli occupation.
Akram Ibrahim Qawasmeh, a Palestinian citizen of Jerusalem, was also arrested on this day in 1996 for resisting the Israeli occupation of his homeland. He is serving two life sentences.
The Israeli occupation authorities are still incarcerating more than 4,500 Palestinian and Arab prisoners for resisting its occupation of their homeland.
