Foreign Ministry records two coronavirus fatalities among Palestinians in the diaspora; 269 in total

RAMALLAH, Thursday, October 15, 2020 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said last night that two diaspora Palestinians have died of the novel Coronavirus disease, raising the total corona-related death toll among Palestinian communities abroad to 269.

The Ministry announced in a press statement that a 40-year-old Palestinian man died of the highly contagious virus in the United States, raising the death toll among Palestinians in that country to 79. No new infections were reported among Palestinian-US citizens, with total confirmed cases of 3,887.

It added that another Palestinian man, aged 37, succumbed to the COVID-19 infection in Saudi Arabia, raising the Palestinian death toll in that country to 92.

The total confirmed cases among Palestinians in the diaspora reached 6,470.
