RAMALLAH, Sunday, August 16, 2020 (WAFA) – A Palestinian prisoner from the occupied West Bank district of Hebron has completed today 16 years behind Israeli bars for resisting the Israeli occupation, according to the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission.
A statement issued by the commission said that prisoner Firas Mreesh, 42, was pursued by the Israeli occupation since 2001 during which he was subjected to numerous assassination attempts until his arrest in 2004. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
Mreesh suffers from problems and pain in the abdomen, joints, and eyes.
