RAMALLAH, May 29, 2012 (WAFA) -The overall producer price index (PPI) for the Palestinian Territory increased by 1.3% in April compared to March, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said Tuesday.
PPI for exported products increased by 2.56% in April compared to the previous month, while PPI for locally consumed products increased by 1.17% for the same period, added PCBS.
Changes in PPI for April was traced back to changes in prices of major activities compared to the previous month, including an increase in prices of fishing by 23.61%, in manufacturing group by 0.95%, and in agriculture goods by 1.91%, with no changes in mining and quarrying.
