JERUSALEM, February 7, 2012 (WAFA) - Spokesman of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bernard Valero, said Tuesday that France supported the Palestinian reconciliation process initiated by President Mahmoud Abbas.
According to a statement issued by the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem, Valero said: “We’ve already indicated, together with our European partners, that we’re ready to work with any Palestinian government committed to non-violence and a two-State solution and which would honor the agreements and commitments already made, including Israel’s right to exist.”
He said that France supports all efforts aimed at encouraging the Palestinian reconciliation, in particular those of Qatar.
