RAMALLAH, January 25, 2012 (WAFA) – The Palestinian leadership intends to call for a Security Council vote on the Palestinian application for UN membership regardless of the outcome, Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Malki told Voice of Palestine radio Wednesday.
He downplayed statements by US ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, that the new members that joined the Security Council on January 1 are not in favor of the Palestinian request.
