CHEBOKSARY/RUSSIA, January 22, 2012 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Sunday arrived in Cheboksary, the capital of the Federal Russian republic of Chuvashia on the Volga River.
Chuvashian President Mikhail Vasilyevich Ignatyev received Abbas.
The presidents discussed the bilateral relations, the continuous Israeli violations, the latest political developments, as well as the Quartet’s efforts to resume negotiations and revive the peace process, stalled due to the Israeli intransigence.
Abbas arrived in Russia on Thursday, the third stop in his European tour after Britain and Germany.
