RAMALLAH, January 11, 2012 (WAFA) – President Mahmod Abbas Wednesday received a phone call from US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. They discussed meetings between Palestinian and Israeli negotiators in Jordon, according to Presidential spokesman, Nabil Abu Rudeineh.
Abu Rudeineh said that Clinton affirmed the US support to the efforts exerted in Jordon’s meetings.
He added that Abbas stressed that a serious peace process should be based on the two-state solution, a clear reference, and based on the 1967 borders, in addition to the halt of all settlement activities in accordance with the International Quartet's latest statement.
