RAMALLAH, December 27, 2011 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic dailies Tuesday highlighted President Mahmoud Abbas meeting with Hamas delegation and the first Freedom and Political Prisoners Committee meeting in Ramallah.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida and al-Ayyam front pages stories focused on Abbas meeting with Hamas delegation in the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, in which Abbas briefed the delegation on the Cairo talks results.

Al-Quds highlighted the freedom committee’s meeting in Ramallah, in which it discussed its future work plans and several other issues.

Al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida printed photos of Abbas and Hamas delegation meeting.

Al-Quds featured Israel’s decision to expel 28,000 Palestinian Bedouins, who live near ‘Ma'aleh Adumim’ settlement, to land in Abu Dis town, near Jerusalem.

Al-Aayam and al-Hayat featured Prime Minister, Salam Fayyad saying, “There will never be a solution unless Jerusalem becomes the eternal capital of the Palestinian state.”

The three papers featured the American Billionaire, Sheldon Adelson’s reiteration of US Republican Party presidential candidate, Newt Gingrich’s statements, in which he stated that the Palestinians are ‘invented’ people.

Al-Quds editorial called on both Arabs and Muslims to move on political, economic, diplomatic and financial levels to protect and support the old city of Jerusalem.
