PPC: Palestinian Prisoner Suffers from Critical Health Condition

RAMALLAH, August 1, 2011(Wafa) –The Palestinian prisoner Imad Al-Masri who lies in Al-Ramleh hospital suffers from a blood virus with an unknown origin, and from pneumonia, which caused an 80% lungs dysfunction and sudden fainting, as well as, liver and intestine infection, Monday said The Palestinian Prisoner’s Club (PPC).

Al-Masri also suffered from a fracture in his spine during interrogating him. He did not receive any kind of treatment.

The PCC’s lawyer said that al-Masri takes 17 pills daily and still there isn’t any improvement in his health condition, adding that two weeks ago he suffered from high fever and was isolated for medical reasons.

PCC considers that the prison’s administration is violating all human values and international norms and laws.

PPC added that the prisoners’ health is the prison’s administration’s responsibility, assuring that the prisoners’ health situation is constantly deteriorating, and most medications given to them are only pain killers.
