JERUSALEM, July 19, 2011 (WAFA) - The Israeli Navy has threatened to seize the French yacht Dignite-Al Karame that is heading to Gaza if it does not comply with the Navy’s orders, according to Haaratz, which has a correspondent on board the yacht.
A Navy ship trailed Al Karame, the only yacht that left Greece from the 11 that were part of the Freedom Flotilla to break the siege on Gaza. The yacht has 16 peace activists on board.
Haaretz’ reporter on the yacht said the Israeli Navy contacted it when it was 50 miles away from the Gaza Strip, informing its crew that the yacht could not enter the Strip’s shores.
