Israeli Airstrike Injures Palestinian in Gaza

GAZA, July 16, 2011 (WAFA) – An unidentified Palestinian was injured Saturday at dawn in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a Palestinian gathering in Beit Hanoun, a town north of the Gaza Strip.

WAFA reporter said that an Israeli reconnaissance plane launched at least one missile at a group of Palestinians in the town, injuring a man in his mid-twenties; his injuries were described as moderate and he was transferred to a hospital for treatment.

In a related matter, ambulance crews Saturday recovered the remains of a Palestinian man, 21, who was killed in an Israeli bombing that targeted a tunnel south of the Gaza Strip two days ago.

The crews are still searching for the remains of another Palestinian who died in the same tunnel.
