RAMALLAH, July 6, 2011 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Authority rejected Wednesday reports that Israeli products have found their way into Saudi Arabia markets, describing them as lies.
The Government Media Office said in a statement that Palestinian websites reprinted a report that appeared in the Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahranot, which claimed that Israeli products were sold in Saudi Arabia.
“Palestinian websites reprinting and publicizing lies from the Israeli paper Yediot Ahranot on this matter is a grave error,” it said, explaining that Saudi Arabia bans entry of Israeli products into its territory “under all circumstances.”
It called on the Palestinian and Arabic media to be careful when reporting on news that appear in the Israeli papers, which it said “aim at causing strife and smear the reputation of Arab countries and leaders.”
