RAMALLAH, June 26, 2011 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Sunday insisted on implementing the reconciliation agreement which included forming a technocrat government of independent national figures that will rebuild Gaza and prepare for the next presidential and parliamentary elections.

Abbas, during his meeting with the Secretary General of the Palestinian National Initiative, Mustafa Barghouthi, in the presidential headquarter in Ramallah, said that the government will follow his policy in order to strengthen the Palestinian stance and internationally defuses the Israeli excuses.

Barghouthi informed the President on his meetings in Washington and the Gaza Strip, as well his international communications.

The meeting addressed the Palestinian plan to seek United Nations recognition of a Palestinian state within 1967 borders and the supporting world countries of the matter.
