GAZA, June 26, 2011 (WAFA) - Center of Prisoners Studies Sunday said that Israel uses over 100 methods of physiological and physical torture against Palestinian prisoners, to get confessions during investigations in Israeli prisons.
It stated, in a press release marking the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, that Israel uses these methods against prisoners from the day they enter the prisons to the day they leave them.
The release explained that Israeli forces deliberately use brutal methods against Palestinian prisoners in front of their families and friends; they threaten to kill, exile or demolish their houses, or simply threat to kill or arrest their families.
The center called on the International society and human rights organizations to politically and morally support the prisoners.
It also called for an International united stance to stop the Israeli violations against Palestinians and Arabs.
The center denounced any claims that Israel is a democratic country that respects human rights and requested for an International supervision committee to monitor the Israeli violations and a just trial to all who were involved in torturing the Palestinian prisoners.
