RAMALLAH, June 26, 2011 (WAFA)- The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said Sunday that the overall producer price index(PPI) in the Palestinian territory decreased by 1.98% compared to April 2011.
PPI of exported products decreased by 1.20% compared to April 2011whereas PPI of local consumed products increased by 2.06% compared to April 2011, said PCBS.
PCBS traced the decrease in PPI to the changes in the prices of major activities such as agricultural goods, fishing and manufacturing group.
It draws attention that manufacturing prices declined through May by1.02% while mining and quarrying prices increased by 0.66%.
