Israeli Foreign Ministry: No V.I.P. Cards, Tax Revenues in September

JERUSALEM, June 20, 2011 (WAFA) – Walla news website Monday said the Israeli Foreign Ministry has decided to withdraw V.I.P. cards from Palestinian officials and withhold the transfer of tax revenues to the Palestinian Authority (PA) if it goes to the United Nations to recognize a Palestinian state in September.

According to the Israeli Ministry, withdrawing V.I.P. cards means PA officials will be searched and harassed at checkpoints.

The Israeli government had withheld the tax revenues from the PA after the reconciliation agreement between Hamas and Fatah in April, but it transferred the money a few weeks later due to international pressure.
