TEL AVIV, June 19, 2011 (WAFA) – The Israeli military court in Yafa Sunday pressed charges against a senior officer in the Israeli army who ordered soldiers stationed in Kafr al Dik, a village near Qalqilia, to run over a mentally-retarded Palestinian, 19, two years ago.
According to the charge sheet, the officer ordered the military vehicle’s driver to run over the youth despite the fact that he imposed no threat on the soldiers.
The military prosecution added in the sheet that the military police was able to obtain evidence against the officer only recently.
