EL- ARISH, Feburary23, 2011 (WAFA) – The Egyptian authorities Wednesday opened Rafah crossing in both directions for the movement of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

People will be allowed to return to Gaza or to leave it on condition they are holders of residency permits or visas. Sick people with transfer papers for treatment and humanitarian cases as well as students traveling to study abroad will also be allowed to leave Rafah toward Egypt.

The Egyptians decided to exempt Palestinians unable to pay fees at the Rafah crossing.
