RAMALLAH, February 23, 2011 (WAFA)- Hanan Ashrawi, member of the  PLO Executive Committee, said Wednesday  in a press release that the Libyan people deserve  to live with freedom, democracy and dignity.

She said that Arabs in the recent revolutions proved their ability to overthrow  oppressive regimes which ruled for a long time.    

Ashrawi condemned what she described Libyan leader Muammar Kaddafi’s “atrocities against  his people,” and called for a stop to these vicious attacks.

She expressed solidarity with the Libyan people hoping that they will regain freedom and meet their needs.
