JERUSALEM, February 22, 2011 (WAFA) – The Israeli police Tuesday arrested Sheikh Raed Salah, head f the Islamic movement in Israel, when he was on his way from Jerusalem to his hometown in Israel, according to sources close to Salah.
Ali Abu Shekha, a member of Islamic movement in Israel, told WAFA that the Israeli forces arrested Salah on his way back from the set-in tent in al-Bustan, in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, heading to Umm el-Fahm.
It was not immediately known where the police took Salah, who was recently released from Israeli prison after serving about a year on political charges.
