RAMALLAH, February 22, 2011 (WAFA) - Fawaz Shaloudi, lawyer of the Prisoner’s Club, said on Tuesday that the administration of Hasharon, an Israeli prison, put a metal detector gate to check female prisoners in their way in and out of the ward.
The lawyer said that prisoners are checked by manual tools but after putting the gate they are checked each time they go through it.
Their exposure to radiation several times in a day harms their health, the lawyer added.
The prison warden told prisoners that pens are no longer sold in the prison canteen, according to Shaloudi.
Qaddoura Fares, head of the Prisoner’s Club, said that these recent measures indicate discrimination and hatred.
These measures are against international and humanitarian laws, he added.
