ABU DHABI, October 31, 2009 (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas affirmed, today, the President stressed the importance of halting colonization as a base of resuming negotiations based on the Road Map to guarantee the establishment of a Palestinian State on the borders of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He said in a press conference held after his meeting with US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton in the UAE Capital, Abu Dhabi, that negotiations will not be resumed before halting colonization in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, on the basis of the establishment of a Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He affirmed the Palestinian Refugees’ Right of Return, and demanded the American Administration to pressurize Israel to halt colonization and put an end to continued attacks of Jerusalem and Jerusalemites, to pave the way for serious negotiations, affirming that colonization is an obstacle in the way of any movement towards the peace Process, and reaching a fair settlement for the Palestinian cause.
