SHARM El SHEIKH, April 28, (WAFA)- His Majesty of Jordan King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Mohammed Husni Mubarak affirmed on Monday the importance of achieving a substantive progress in the peace process leading to practical results on the ground.
During talks held in Sharm El-Sheikh, the two leaders stressed that any solution for the Palestinian cause must be based on the international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab peace initiative for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, warning that the slowdown in achieving this goal would increase the complexities of the situation and exacerbate tensions and resentment in the region.
The two leaders renewed their support for the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and for the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) to reach an agreement with the Israeli side leading to establishing the independent Palestinian state on the Palestinian national soil in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
