GLASGOW, April 26, 2008, (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas warned on Saturday of the possibility of reaching a difficult impasse if the mandate of U.S. President George W. Bush ended without reaching an agreement between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.
President Abbas said in an interview with Agence France-Presse on board of the plane that carried him from Washington to a halt in Glasgow Scotland's capital, 'If President Bush era ended without an agreement we have reached a difficult impasse and we Palestinians must examine the next step.'
President added that President Bush, who was received Thursday at the White House was fully aware and knows that the remaining short period but had hope that he can achieve something.
President Abbas called on the United States to use its weight in the application of the Road Map plan and the application of Bush's vision of two states, stressing that his talks with President Bush was very detailed and very clear.
