GAZA, April 25, 2008, (WAFA)-Al-Mezan Centre for Human Rights said that Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) killed 59 citizens, including 15 children since the beginning of April.
'Such Israeli actions undermine human rights seriously, and are incompatible with the protection afforded by international humanitarian law for the civilian population under occupation, 'the Center said.
It also condemned the continued recruitment of collective punishment against the civilian population and violations of human rights for political purposes, calling on the international community to adopt a stance on what is happening in the Gaza Strip and exerting pressure on Israel to halt the policy of collective punishment and other crimes.
