GEORGETOWN, April 22, 2008, (WAFA)-The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) deplored the continued Israeli military vicious and murderous attacks on the Palestinian people by the Israeli.

In a press release, PPP said every day many civilians including innocent children are being killed indiscriminately by soldiers firing rockets from aircrafts and helicopters.

“Israel has turned the Gaza Strip into a huge prison, with deteriorating conditions,” the party said, adding that their actions have destroyed electricity and sewerage systems which have compounded the misery of the Palestinian people.

The PPP called on the international community, in particular the US and European Union, “the main financiers of Israel, to use their considerable influence to demand that Israel respects the human rights of the Palestinian people and work towards the establishment of a viable Palestinian state.”
