On Day of Anger to Protect Al-Aqsa, President Abbas Condemns "Israeli Aggressive Steps"
MECCA, February 9, 2007 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas condemned Friday "the aggressive steps of Israel" in al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
Addressing the Palestinian people on the Day of Anger to Protect the al-Aqsa Mosque from Mecca, President Abbas said today is a day of anger because of the occupation's measures in Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque.
He affirmed that the Palestinian people cannot stay cross-handed before such aggressive measures.
President Abbas also blessed the agreement reached in Mecca between Fateh and Hamas, hoping that the "black days will never be repeated."
He also praised the role of the Egyptian delegation, which stays in Palestine, saying it always plays the mediatory role and offer solutions for any problem.
