President Receives OIC Secretary General
JEDDAH, February 7, 2007, (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas received in his residence, in Jeddah, the Secretary General of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsan oglu.
President briefed Mr. Oglu on the Israeli excavation works in Bab Al-Maghariba which threaten the holy al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
For his part, Mr. Oglu denounced Israel's perpetrated crime against al-Aqsa Mosque, saying that, Israel's acts, the occupying Power are flagrant violations against international laws and which aim at changing the legal status, demographic composition and character of the territory Israel occupied in1967.
