President Abbas: Israeli Acts in Jerusalem are Impediments in the Path of Peace
JEDDAH, February 6, 2007, (WAFA)- President mahmoud Abbas described Tuesday the Israeli acts in Jerusalem as impediments in the path and the efforts of peace.
In a press conference, in Jeddah, following a meeting with the King of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, President asserted that what the Israelis are doing reveals the Israeli wells to destroy the Islamic places.
He called on the international community, especially the US administration, to immediately act for ending the Israeli acts which complicates the situation and makes achieving peace difficult.
Abbas said that he discussed, with King Abdullah, the Israeli attacks against al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy city. He asserted that King Abdullah is ready to exert his efforts to end the Israeli acts in Jerusalem.
Earlier, on Tuesday, Israeli bulldozers destroyed a part of a bridge to al-Aqsa Mosque. Head of Islamic Movement in Israel, Sheikh Raed Salah, that the Israeli destruction of parts of the bridge is a part of the Israeli procedures of judaization of Jerusalem launched since the Israeli occupation of the city in 1967.
King Abdullah asserted that "what is goinig in Palestine" is for the sake of no one but the enemies of Arabs and Moslems.
The King hoped that the Palestinian-Palestinian talks in Makkah would lead to solution matches with the Palestinian dreams.
President Abbas, and other Fateh leaders, arrived Tuesday in KSA to hold talks with Hamas leaders on the last chaos on Gaza and for forming national unity government.
