Hamas Ambushes Presidential Convoy, Kills Officer
GAZA, February 1, 2007, (WAFA)- At least one officer was killed and several wounded as Hamas militia ambushed convoy of President Abbas guard south of Gaza, security sources said.
The sources told WAFA that Ramadhan Mshallah 24, from Force 17, was instantly killed and 9 wounded, including civilians, when Hamas militia attacked the convoy near Maghazi camp.
The security sources mentioned that President Abbas was not in the convoy as he is now in his presidential compound in Ramallah.
In the meantime, Hamas militia, opened fire at the official intelligence apparatus, north of Gaza. No wounded reported.
Hamas attack comes in the third day of truce after three bloody days in Gaza.
