RAMALLAH, January, 30, 2007, (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas' Media Advisor, Nabil Amr voiced hope on Tuesday that the ceasefire reached in Gaza could continue.

In a press conference, held in Ramallah, Amr stated that we exerted efforts to avoid what happened in Gaza and at the same time we support the agreement reached, hoping to lead to a national dialogue that brings about national unity government able to lift imposed siege and back the Palestinian national cause to gain the world's interest.

As for the Saudi initiative, Amr welcomed it saying that it has come on time and accelerated ending the bloody cycle of violence erupted in the Palestinian Territory.
