King Abdullah11: Viable Palestinian State Ensure Stability in Region
AMMAN, January 24, 2007, (WAFA)-King of Jordan, Abdullah II said that establishment of a viable independent Palestinian state, lives in peace and security side by side with Israel, is a strong guarantee for security and stability in the region.
In an interview with al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper, based in London, the king stated that if the Palestinian cause would not be solved this year, the entire region had to pay the price, adding that Israel should realize that just solution guarantees the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people would lead to stability in the region.
His Majesty also pointed out that Jordan supports every step pushes the peace process and achieves comprehensive, durable and just peace, affirming that the Palestinian issue is the core of the Arab-Israeli conflict and American administration is committed to a two-state solution.
His Majesty called for exerting efforts to resume negotiations between the two parties so as to achieve a viable independent Palestinian state on the Palestinian national soil.
