President Denounces Crimes against Palestinian Refugees in Baghdad
RAMALLAH, January 23, 2007, (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas denounced Tuesday the attacks launched by Iraqi militias against Palestinian refugees in Baghdad.
In a statement issued by Spokesperson of Presidency, President stated that militias in Baghdad continue kidnapping and killing Palestinian refugees as well as bombarding their houses.
President added that Palestinian women and children were killed while they were sleeping in their beds.
The statement added that President Abbas made contacts with Iraqi officials to end the crimes against Palestinians in Iraq.
It mentioned that militais kidnapped yesterday tens of Palestinians from their houses in the neighborhood of Al-Karrada, in Baghdad, and destroyed several houses.
President called on the Iraqi officials and the US forces to work for allowing the kidnapped to return to their houses, and to protect them from crimes.
