GAZA, January 22, 2007 (WAFA) - An explosion ripped through the office of Al Arabiya television in Gaza City on Monday, witnesses said.

Local witnesses said that an explosion torn apart the office of the TV Channel, causing no injuries.

Witnesses added that the newsroom was empty when the planted explosive device went off, adding that the explosion smashed the door of the office of Reuters News Agency across the hallway.

al-Arabiya employees had not arrived at work for several days because of anonymous telephone threats by unknown persons.
