IOF Beats Peaceful Demonstrators in Bil'in



RAMALLAH, January 12, 2007, (WAFA)- Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) wounded Friday eleven citizens during the weekly protest of the Israeli construction of Apartheid Wall in Bil'in village, west of Ramallah city.

International Solidarity Movement (ISM) revealed that one hundred internationals and local villagers gathered to protest the apartheid wall running through the village, saying that the theme of today's demo was solidarity with photographer Fadi Arouri who was shot in the stomach with live ammo during a recent Israeli invasion into Ramallah.

ISM made it clear that, as soon as the march reached the gate in the Wall, the IOF fired tear gas grenades at the peaceful demonstrators, and led to eleven citizen's injury including one old man.
