RAMALLAH, January 8, 2007 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas received on Monday the Peruvian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gonzalo Gutierrez and the accompanying delegation in Ramallah.

During the meeting, President Abbas expressed his condemnation of kidnapping the AFP's Peruvian photographer Jaime Razuri.

He congratulated Razuri for his release, denouncing the acts that defame the Palestinian struggle and the national cause.

For their part, the Mr. Gutierrez and Razuri expressed their country's thanks to President Abbas and the efforts he made until Razuri was released. Razuri expressed his solidarity with the Palestinian people.
