Israeli Courts Sentence Detainees to Different Terms of Imprisonment


JENIN December 23, 2006 (WAFA)-Israeli courts ruled Saturday harsh sentences against two Palestinian detainees to different terms of imprisonment and extended the detention of three others in the West Bank city of Jenin, prisoners' sources said.

Salem and al-Jalama Israeli military courts sentenced the detainees Mohammed Kameel, of Qabnatya town, to four months and imposed a fine of 1000 NIS (Israeli currency) and Mahmoud Kameel to 23 moths and a fine of 2000 NIS.

The sources added that Salem court extended the detention of Mustaffa Yaseen to February and al-Jalama court extended the period detention of Maher Abed and Abed al-Lateef Shibani to more 15 days.
