President Receives Central Elections Commission
RAMALLAH, December 17, 2006 (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas received Sunday in the Presidential HQ, in Ramallah, the Central Elections Commission (CEC) chaired by Dr. Hanna Naser.
Following the meeting, Naser said we have consultations on early elections and made clear our view, as a commission, on the importance of the national understanding.
He added that the election process needs 120 day of preparations.
"We are waiting for a decree for starting the process," Naser said. " President's speech was close to a decree, but up to now it is not a decree yet."
