President Abbas Receives Phone call from Solana
RAMALLAH, December 16, 2006 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas received Saturday a phone call from Javier Solana, the EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy.
Presidsent Abbas briefed Solana on the latest developments in the Palestinian territory.
For his part, Solana reiterated his support for President Abbas and his efforts to overcome the current political crisis for the benefit of all Palestinians.
President Abbas also briefed, over a phone call, the Libyan President Mo'ammar Gaddafi on the situation in the Palestinian territory in light of Israel's ongoing escalation and the international embargo imposed on the Palestinian people.
The Libyan President supported the efforts made by President Abbas to end the suffering of the Palestinian and lift the siege imposed on the Palestinian Authority.
