President Receives Secretary General of Amnesty International
RAMALLAH, December 11, 2006 (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas received Monday in the Presidential HQ in Ramallah city, Secretary General of Amnesty International, Irene Khan.
During the meeting, the President briefed Khan on the latest developments in the Palestinian territory in light of the Israeli ongoing military aggression against the Palestinian people.
For her part, Khan called upon the international community to shed more light on the developments in OPT, describing the humanitarian situation caused by the Israeli siege as "critical."
