HEBRON, December 11, 2006 (WAFA)-Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) assaulted Monday three brothers and arrested others in the West Bank (WB) city of Hebron, sources said.

Eyewitnesses mentioned that Israeli soldiers stopped three brothers in Yatta, south of Hebron city and assaulted them, causing them severe bruises.

Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) told WAFA that Israeli soldiers backed by tanks and armoured vehicles swept into Hebron city and launched a door-to-door search campaign into some citizens' houses, causing a state of panic among residents, mostly children and women.

The sources added that Israeli soldiers broke into a house belonging to Wisam Al-Quadsi 26, and searched it, shortly before arresting the owner and leading him into an unknown place.

Meanwhile, Israeli military court in Salem detention, south of Ramallah city, sentenced a citizen to ten months of imprisonment with a fine estimated to 1000 "NIS", Israeli currency.
