JENIN, May 11, 2004, (WAFA) – A number of civilians were wounded and suffered from suffocation on Tuesday when Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) fired tear-gas canisters at the civilians during the invasion of Ya'bad town of Jenin City, witnesses and Palestinian medical sources said.... Witnesses told WAFA that the IOF troops opened random fire, tear-gas canisters at the civilians who poured into the streets to rebuff the curfew.... The medics in “Patient Friends Benevolent Society” in the town confirmed that three civilians suffered from suffocation as they inhaled great amount of tear-gas. Another civilian, Mohammed Abu Baker 20, was shot with a live-bullet in the head.... In Hebron, IOF arrested four civilians during a search- campaign operation in the city town of Dora and Yatta, local sources and Palestinian security sources said.... The local sources said that the IOF, backed by tens of Israeli troops and military vehicles, broke into Dora town and arrested four civilians. A grave damage was inflicted upon a number of houses in different areas of the town, spreading a state of panic and fear among the residents, mostly children and women.... The security sources confirmed that Ra'ed Mohammed al-Nammoura 21, Tareq Yousef al-Namoura 24, Feras al-Nammoura 24 and Alaa al-Sharawna 22 have been arrested by IOF soldiers.... Meanwhile, IOF conducted a wide-scale search campaign in different areas of Yatta town, south of Hebron, residents said.... They told reporters that the IOF, supported by a number of military vehicles, broke into al-Qasem Hospital vicinity.... In Tulkarem, IOF soldiers stormed the city Refugee Camp, broke into Hani Saleem's house and arrested him, witnesses testified.... Earlier, the IOF patrols poured into the refugee camp streets amid intensive and random fire shooting at civilians' houses, causing thrill of fear among the residents....
