Two Houses Demolished in Jerusalem, Four Arrested in Tulkarem

JERUSALEM, March 2, 2004, (WAFA)- Israeli occupation authorities demolished Tuesday two Palestinian houses in the occupied Jerusalem leaving 16 citizens homeless, witnesses said.... Israeli bulldozers, backed by, military vehicles, moved into the neighborhood of Silwan in Jerusalem, and destroyed two houses owned by Shihda Abu Sbaih and Ziad Baidhoon.... Israeli soldiers did not allow the owners to take out their properties. “In minutes the two houses and properties were turned to debris and 16 citizens became homeless,” eyewitness said.... 18 Palestinian houses were demolished by Israeli occupation forces in the occupied Jerusalem since the beginning of the current year (2004).... In the city of Tulkarem IOF arrested today four Palestinian citizens, witnesses and Palestinian security sources said.... Three citizens were arrested by Israeli soldiers at a newly-established checkpoint near the town of Bal'a, near Tulkarem. A fourth citizen named as Mohammed al-Wahr was also arrested inside the town, Palestinian security sources said.... Witnesses said Israeli soldiers, stationed at the checkpoint, patted three citizens down an arrested them....
