HEBRON, March 2, 2004, (WAFA)- Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) killed today a citizen and destroyed his house in the village of Yatta, south of Hebron, witnesses and Palestinian official sources said.... "Around a.m. 03.00, Israeli forces broke into the house of Mohammed Abu Rajab, killed him and destroyed his house," eyewitness told WAFA correspondent.... 'Ayda Hospital sources, in Hebron, said Mohammed Mahmood Abu Rajab, 25, was instantly killed after being shot with several live bullets in different parts of his body.... Palestinian security sources said Abu Rajab was killed when Israeli tanks and armoured personnel carriers swept, under intensive gunfire, into the town of Yatta and stationed at the Wadi Zaytoon neighbourhood.... Israeli troops broke into tens of houses terrifying residents. They launched a house-to-house inspection campaign, witnesses said.... Meanwhile, IOF arrested six Palestinian civilians in separate attacks in the West Bank.... In Balata refugee camp, IOF stormed tens of houses and arrested four civilians and led them to undisclosed place, Palestinian security sources said.... Two other civilians were also arrested by Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint near al-Fari’’a camp, north of the West Bank, security sources added.... "Israeli soldiers stopped and arrested Taleb and Hazem Salahat,” witnesses told WAFA.... In the meantime, IOF imposed a tight curfew on the village of Bzaria, northwest of Nablus, Palestinian security sources said.... Witnesses said, Israeli troops thrust into the village of Bzaria and closed the schools, forcing schoolboys to leave.... "They stormed the schools and forced us under fire threat to evacuate them, and imposed curfew," a teacher from Bzaria told WAFA in a phone call.... In the town of Kofr Laqif of Qalqilya, Israeli bulldozers razed vast areas of Palestinian arable land.... Israeli bulldozers flattened more than 120 Donums in an attempt to be annexed to the Israeli colonies, Kofr Laqif municipality sources said.... - -
