RAMALLAH, Tuesday, July 14, 2020 (WAFA) - Decrease in the prices of basic food commodities within food groups pushed the overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine to decrease by 0.47% during June compared with May, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The decrease was by 1.18% in Gaza Strip, 0.31% in the West Bank, and 0.06% in Jerusalem.
The Palestinian CPI during June decreased by 1.95% compared with June 2019, a decrease by 1.98% in the West Bank, 1.97% in Gaza Strip, and by 0.93% in Jerusalem.
The changes in the CPI for June were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:
