Producer Price Index in Palestine down by 2.2% during May - PCBS

 

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 (WAFA) - The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine decreased in May by 2.20% compared to the previous month, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

PPI for locally consumed products decreased by 2.35% compared to April and for local exported products by 0.83%, it said.

The changes of PPI for May were traced back to changes in prices of the following major activities compared to the previous month:

Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities

- 3.15%

Manufacturing

- 0.13%

Mining and quarrying
