RAMALLAH, Sunday, September 1, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is relatively hot in daytime and fair in nighttime with a slight rise in temperature approaching 3°C above the annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is northwesterly, light to moderate with occasional gusts and sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 30°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 42°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Temperature is expected to slightly drop on Monday to become 2°C above average, and drops again on Tuesday to around average and on Wednesday become slightly below its annual average.

PMD warned people against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during the peak hours of the day from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and against setting fire to areas with dry grass.
